Most photographers, especially the new age candid wedding photographer are not amused by the uncles and aunties with their camera who keep competing with them for the perfect picture. I will be frank sometimes I am too… But for the most part I like them because they give make some nice picture opportunities for me like these.
The latest trend in the wedding scene is ‘unplugged weddings” where the couple request the guests to be a part of the wedding ceremony by switching off their phones, cameras and other devices. Well I have a mixed take on this entire concept, the wedding photographer in me is happy with a unplugged wedding, where I don’t have to fight for the perfect spot around the mandap during ceremony to do my job, however in this day when everybody is driven by instant gratification and social media this idea is a total bummer for the wedding guests and relatives.
What is your take on the idea of unplugged weddings?
