Happy New Year to all of you.  2011 has been a wonderful journey filled with loads of excitement and fun stuff. I had the opportunity to get to know many interesting people and am thankful to each every couple who allowed me to document their most important day of their lives. Every time I am asked to do so I feel honored and privileged to be a part of beautiful ceremony celebrating love. This very reason I feel that I have to push my limits every single time I press the shutter button but at the same time make this day a memorable day for all these lovely people.  Its my constant effort to capture the raw emotions and I hope that this new year I will be able to do this much better.

I am hoping that 2012 will be much more fun and exciting year for me. This brings me to my wish list, I have managed fulfill some and some yet to be realized.

Oh by the way I can now strike of number 20. Even though I dint have start bucks for the whole week (which I could have, but I chose not to) I will tell you that its good place to get some amazing flavors of coffee.

Across the autopsy table, surrounded by smell of medicines, chemicals and cold bodies love blossomed between them. In between equations and practicals they found time to find love. I am not trying to sound filmy; the fact is  Archana and Mayur fell head over heels in love while studying medicine. In between exams, practicals and submissions they fell in love and managed to keep the sparks flying even when one of them had to go overseas for further studies.

Beneath the boring spectacle and the polo tshirt I saw a very  handsome looking guy with a million volt smile. And Archana is the ultimate bollywood inspired bride I ever met. Thank you Archana and Mayur for allowing me to document the most important day of your life.

My 2 week stint in US is over and I am back to amchi Mumbai with almost hundred gigabytes (not quiet yet though)  of files to edit back home. My main purpose was to capture a BIG fat wedding but I also had a chance to hang out with Ankit and Prerna for almost 24hrs in New york. Mojitos & Crab cake, bina license ka gaadi chalana and the Chinese lady who gave me double D boobs for $25 (I will tell u what the story is when we meet in person if ever) were some of the highlights of the I spent with them.

My first overseas wedding  assignment is gonna keep me away for the next two weeks (yay am doing a happy dance here).  America here I come !!!!

Now some thing about today couple whose pictures I have posted.

Shraddha and Kevin are one of the few most sportive couple I have come across. They really wanted to get the best and was ready to put in their best to get amazing pictures. I really appreciate Sharaddha’s “ never say die” enthusiasm and Kevin’s “I will love you no matter how much you irritate me attitude”.  The reason I say this is because Shraddha had the courage and stamina to go shopping and try gazillion dresses after working for 10 hrs straight, every single days, 3 straight days in a row.  On the other hand Kevin had the patience and love to accompany her in finding the perfect dress every single day. He even had to sacrifice his much anticipated day of lazing around for the DRESS.  So you see this pre shoot has really tested their love for each other… well sorta.

Cut to the day of the shoot. The signs were there, we could see the small red flags all around. The shoot was just not meant to happen despite all of our efforts of planning and chalking out the details of the shoot.  It all stated with make up delay, then Shraddha forgot her lovely roses she had handpicked, the traffic which really threw us off the schedule completely. But guess what, we beat it all and had an awesome shoot.

I must mention ’ driving skills which saved us and almost got us to the place  before dark. He should try his hand at the F1. LOL

Enough blabbering lets see the magic

I had the privilege to document Pascal and Carishma’s wedding earlier this year. But we only got around doing the casual portrait session just a few weeks back. These guys knows to have fun and clearly this reflects in their pictures.

Well its been quiet here for a while but lots happening in the real world. Bookings, preshoots, weddings and making travel arrangements. Now meet Stuart (yes that’s his name) He belongs to my ground floor neighbor and is Mandy my labrador’s walking partner.  Well to be precise Mandy walks and Stuart likes to take a ride on the dog walkers shoulder just like seen below.

Sri and Anu had called exactly a year before they tied the knot and booked me after a long phone conversation (mostly me and Anu were doing the talking ).  I knew instantly that I will enjoy shooting this couple. Anu is a teacher in Chicago and Sri is an engineer there. They met each other through common friends and love happened.

Now the wedding day was spread over 2 days , sort of a South meets North situation. You see Anu is a Punjabi kudi and Sri is an Iyengar lad. They decided to have the best of both the cultures.  We did have a very fun couple portrait session where Anu and Sri had a mini Bollywood moment when they posed in a Aut rickshaw and  later stopped in front of a road side tea stall and ordered a cutting.

He was is the 7th grade and I was in the 5th grade.  He was my best friend P’s (god bless her soul) cousin. I always was tongue tied whenever I was in front of him and so I never ever spoke to him. He was my first crush. I think we all have a bit of the romantic Krishna in us.

This was a wedding I second shot for an outstanding photographer and now friend Ramit. Its was opportunity which I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days I spent with Ramit and Salonee.

Satvika and Siddharth had a power packed wedding, a back to back 7 days (puls minus) of sheer celebration. I was roped in for the main wedding day. The day started with a light brunch and a mini spa session by the pool side. The masseuse were a brilliant idea after a crazy wild sangeet where every one set the dance floor on fire. Siddharth had a sore leg and I caught a moment where he was cringing with pain while he streached his sore legs. We then moved to getting some awesome pictures of Siddharth getting ready (dont miss the uber classy navy blue sherwani by Rohil Bal which Siddharth wore)  and the saafa tying of the entire baraatis. Then came THE Baraat where Siddharth came in a vintage ford. These are just some of the pictures I shot till the baraat. The rest will follow soon..

Kadam more popularly know as Kaddy and Pragati got married in February this year. I was honored to have been a part of their wedding and sangeet in Indore. The weather was perfect not too cold not too warm. Now these 2 guys are very talented couple. Kaddy is a IIM product but is an avid photographer. Pragati is an artist ; a painter. She has exhibited her work in Mumbai and if you want some cool art work to adorn your space do get in touch with her. These pictures were taken at their sangeet ceremony a unique sangeet I have ever attended filled with lots of flavor of Indian culture and family bonding.

Kaddy and Pragati’s friends flew in from all corners of the country to attend their wedding.

For the sangeet an award winning folk performance team was roped in, and i must say that these guys were pretty good.

Then it was time for family and friends to show of their moves.

By the time pragati went up the stage to perform Kaddy was being teased to death by his friends.

Towards the end its was a impromptu dance session by family and friends.
