Stephen and Preeti pre shoot – Mumbai Wedding Photographer

I always encourage couples to do a pre- shoot for these reasons :

1 This is a chance to break the ice and get to know the photographer and vice versa

2 In my case the couple also gets to be familiar in front of the lens :)

3 As newly weds u do need some awesome pictures other than what was taken on your wedding day :)

Stephen and Preeti are an awesome couple who were an absolute delight in front of the camera.  They were pure naturals and rocked the entire session :) I am absolutely excited to be a part of your upcoming wedding :)

Rainy day – Mumbai Street Photographer

Mumbai has a different feel altogether during monsoons. My captures don’t do justice to the city and I know that. Enjoy the rains :)

Kids Are Cute! – Mumbai Children Portrait Photographer

Can anything get cuter than kids?

Aviators Baby! – Mumbai Wedding Photographer

Every year around my birthday I have this tendency to make some drastic steps that brings about a new me (at least some part of new me) . Two years back out of whim I went and got my hair poker straight. I spent a whole day , morning to evening at the salon getting ma hair freaking straight.  At a time where I really wanted to never look at the mirror and see myself I thought getting a new look should do the trick. Guess what it did at least temporarily.

Last year it was all about enjoying my birthday. Trust me guys since I was 23 I always had this ‘ooo am getting old syndrome’ Guess what I breezed through the last one. Phew and yes also left a lot of the emotional baggage I was carrying around.

This year its all about getting the oomph back. Seriously know no clue what that is but I thought a pair of aviators should fall into that category.  The story goes way back when I was dating a sailor my affair with aviators had started.  Trust me men in uniform + aviators is one hot combination. Although that was the case I never thought that I personally could pull off one until this time.  Trust u are gonna see more of these flashing ma eyes baby.

The Pawar – Mumbai Family Portrait Photographer

Presenting the Pawar family I shot last weekend. These were one excited family. And I love such families who are all game for capturing moments. One of my favorite picture is the 4 generation picture I shot of them. This was the first of its kind for me.

Why should you hire a photographer JLT? – Mumbai Pet Photographer

A few days ago some one I know lost her pet dog in a very unexpected way. In the midst of moaning she was looking for some good picture of the pet to be enlarged and framed. Although there were a lot of photos nothing was worth blowing up cause for some reason of the other those weren’t just good enough. Even before I called myself a photographer I knew the importance to have some good pictures with the people I love the most. I know the loss of not having any picture of my beloved dad (well this is a different story altogether) , all that is left is the memories of him with me.

Hence I always insist on a  periodical family photo session. You don’t need an occasion to do it. Just do it and make that an occasion. I am sure the session itself will be a memorable one on its own. If you cant afford a photographer to come home go to a near by studio and get some shots. Now about pets, if u are a person like me who think that pets are a family member (can u imagine that there are people who think otherwise) then get them a session. I spent thousands of rupees buying all kinds of treats and toys and shampoos for my dog. Booking a session is worth every penny. I have done it and its total paisa wasool.
In other news I bought a new camera and any new gear has to first be tried on my lovely in house Diva aka Mandy. So here is a sweet shot of hers :)
Love me
Isn’t she lovable?

Meet the Dhillons

What are the odds that I get an inquiry for a family portrait sessions and I almost decline it for unavailable dates and then actually going ahead and booking it to a earlier date. What are the odds of having quiet a number of common friends from different walks of life and both of us knowing them some how or the other. But nothing beats the odd that we (the hubby) used to be colleagues in my ex organization. Meet the Dhillions :) (Yah I like their last names) the most happy go lucky baby and the most tech savvy family. Although a small session I definitely had fun shooting this family. BTW these guys should go black and white all the way. They look so fabulous in b/w.

This is the first time I created a story board. Personally I feel this is a very classy way of getting photo prints to frame it and keep it at ur desk.

Macro Kit Give Away Contest – Mumbai Wedding Photographer

Recently I had purchased a set of macro filter kit for an assignment I was working on. Although it took me a bit of getting used to shoot with the extensions, once I got the hang of it I was loving every bit of it.
